As
we
celebrate more than 30 years of Band at the Beach, we
also seek your generous support of any amount you are
able to make. Your contribution supports our desire to
offer individualized attention in a safe and nurturing
setting that helps young musical talents to grow and
flourish.
Since
1988,
more than 3,000 middle and high school musicians have
enrolled in Band at the Beach. Our students have gone
on to study at Harvard, UC San Diego, UC
Berkeley, UCLA, San Diego State University, Azusa
Pacific, Northwestern, Pepperdine, Mills College,
California Polytechnic, Chico State, Long Beach State,
Iowa State, Berklee College of Music, and Carnegie
Mellon University.
Your
contribution
will go to support the camp. Here are some examples of
how we can utilize your contribution of any of the
following themed donations:
$100 (Solo) buys a complete band’s music score
$150 (Duet) underwrites nearly half of a student’s
scholarship
$350 (Trio) underwrites a student’s full scholarship
$450 (Quartet) pays for an honorarium for a conductor
for the week
$1,000 (Ensemble) helps defray facilities and

We had the great privilege of being in the audience
for the Band at the Beach concert on the 18th. There
are no words strong enough to express our admiration
for the adults and the students involved and the great
concert they were able to present. Everyone involved
should be immensely proud of his and her efforts.
Our grandson played the tuba in
the concert. He told us that he was amazed at the
superiority of the teachers that week over the
teachers he has had in other situations. His verbatim
comment was "These are real teachers!"
Thank you to you for your
leadership and for allowing us to hear the results.
